The Sands Bethlehem Event Center has added veteran heavy-metal band Megadeth, comedians Lewis Black and Jim Norton and Motown legends The Temptations and The Four Tops to its 2016 lineup. The shows were announced Monday in a news release.
Megadeth is set to return 7 p.m. March 19. Tickets cost $39.50 in advance, $45 at the door. The band -- fronted by singer-guitarist Dave Mustaine -- previously headlined the venue in November 2013. Megadeth's 1992 studio album, "Countdown to Extinction," spawned the singles "Symphony of Destruction," "Sweating Bullets" and "Skin O' My Teeth." The band will be touring in support of their upcoming album, Dystopia, set for early 2016 release.
The Temptations and The Four Tops are scheduled for 7 p.m. March 25. Tickets cost $45-$89.50. The two groups last performed at Sands in December 2014.
Norton is scheduled for 8 p.m. May 6. Tickets cost $35; $55 for suite seating. The Opie with Jim Norton co-host has released several stand-up comedy specials, as well as the books "Happy Endings: The Tales of a Meaty-Breasted Zilch" and "I Hate Your Guts." Norton's most recent stand-up special, Contextually Inadequate, premiered on Epix in April.
Black will perform 8 p.m. May 7. He previously headlined Sands in April 2014. Prior to that, the actor and Daily Show star performed in November 2013 at the State Theatre in Easton.
Event center officials also announced two performances by The Illusionists on April 14. Show times are 5:30 and 8:30 p.m.
