1.) Rev it up
Drool over classic cars while enjoying the sounds of locally-sourced country, blues and rock 'n' roll during the Das Awkscht Fescht, Friday, July 31, through Sunday, Aug. 2, at Macungie Memorial Park in Macungie. This year's crop of entertainers includes James Supra Blues Band with Sarah Ayers (Friday), Flamin' Dick and the Hot Rods (Friday), Acoustic Kitty Project (Saturday), BC Combo (Saturday), Inch & the Echoes (Saturday), The Large Flowerheads (Saturday) and Crazy Hearts (Sunday). 2.) 'Amy'
This is the last weekend to catch a screening of the new Amy Winehouse documentary, Amy, at the Civic Theatre in Allentown. The film will be shown 8 p.m. Friday, July 31, Saturday, Aug. 1, and Sunday, Aug. 2. Tickets cost $10, $8 for students and seniors. Information: civictheatre.com
3.) Burlesque
The Gas House Dance Hall, 311 Front St., Catasauqua, hosts "Let's Burlesque with The Looking Glass Revue" workshops, 1 to 5:30 p.m. Sunday. 4.) Bites and Brews
Cruise on over to the Sands Bethlehem Event Center, 77 Sands Blvd., Bethlehem, on Saturday, Aug. 1, for the Bites and Brews Bash. The event runs noon to 3 p.m. VIP hour is 11 a.m. to noon. There will be more than 100 craft brews available, plus wine tastings, live entertainment, carnival rides and a mechanical bull. Tickets cost $40 in advance, $45 at the door. 5.) 'Cup o' Jokes'
Tyler Rothrock headlines Hava Java's "Cup o' Jokes" comedy show, 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 1. Rothrock will be joined by comedians Jesse Keim, B. Gabriel Brogden, Lump Hamilton, Paul Spratt, LeMaire Lee, Andy Malafarina and host Nate Marshall. Cost is five bucks AND it's BYOB. Hava Java is located at 526 N. 19th St., Allentown. 6.) Messy laughs
Lehigh Valley-based improv comedy troupe performs 10:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 1, at the ArtsQuest Center at SteelStacks, 101 Founders Way, Bethlehem. Tickets cost $4-$6. Information: steelstacks.org
7.) Magic 'Mary'
"Mary Poppins The Musical" opens 8 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 1, at the Country Gate Playhouse, 114 Greenwich St., Belvidere. Watch the Country Gate Players bring to life the musical based on the popular Disney film of the same name. Performances continue 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 2; 2 and 8 p.m. Aug. 8; and 2 p.m. Aug. 9. 8.) Double the Fun
Rock band Dear Anna on Friday, July 31, heads to Bethlehem's The Funhouse, 5 E. Fourth St. (This is also the debut of the band's new lead guitarist, Dan "Peshi" Chiusano.) On Saturday, Aug. 1, it's a triple bill featuring VoirVoir, Wax Darts and Thundr Villain. Music starts 10 p.m. both nights.
9.) Artist's choice
The opening reception for artist Doug Boehm's latest exhibit, "The Art of Doug Boehm," is 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 1, at Connexions Gallery, 213 Northampton St., Easton. Discuss art with Boehm while getting your groove on to music duo Frank Belinc and Frank Belinc Jr.
10.) Funky Saturday
