Rising from the depths of the ocean of rock 'n' roll, The Mind Control Squids will surface tonight in Downtown Easton, where they will invade Mothers Bar & Grille.
The group -- whose sound is a hypnotic mix of punk, hard rock and a touch of heavy-metal -- will share a bill with the bands Pines, Tie Goes to the Runner, Smegma and headliners Rocky Catanese & The Chapter. Show time is 8 p.m. There will be a $5 suggested donation at the door.
Must be 21 or older to attend.
Rumor has it the Squids take their water polo VERY seriously. Go ahead, challenge them to a post-show match. I understand guitarist Jim Nicnick is usually up for some friendly competition.
