Clam is the name of the jam.
The second annual 3rd & Ferry Clam Jam Clambake Street Festival will be held Sunday, Aug. 30, in Downtown Easton. Festivities start noon with a performance by cover band UUU.
In addition to live music, the event will be emceed by Baron Ambrosia, Culinary Ambassador of the Bronx and New York Emmy Award winner. Local chefs and homebrewers will go to head to head against last year's winner, Two Rivers Brewing Company Executive Chef/General Manager Jeremy Bialker, during the Chowda & Homebrew Beer Competition. Competing restaurants are: 3rd & Ferry Fish Market, The Architects Club, Leaf Restaurant, Blue Sky at the State, Mesa Modern Mexican, Pearly Baker's Alehouse, Pomme Verte and Valenca.
Other scheduled performers are folk/bluegrass band Blue Heart's Revelry (2-3:30 p.m.) and Uncle Rocco (3:30-6 p.m.).
The festival, which will beef up its outdoor presence by extending down Ferry Street and down Third Street toward Centre Square, will also feature the Weyerbacher Beer & Island Creek Oyster Tasting, a cigar lounge, Kid Zone, street food vendors, and the return of the popular clambake at 12:30 and 3:30 p.m.
Admission to the festival is free. Tickets for the Chowda & Homebrew Beer Competition cost $10 each. Clambake tickets cost $39.95 per guest.
Festival hours are noon to 6 p.m.
