Celebrity chef Anne Burrell, host of Food Network's Secrets of a Restaurant Chef and co-host of Worst Cooks in America, will spice up the State Theatre this fall.
Burrell is scheduled to appear Oct. 28 at the Easton venue as part of the fifth annual "Girls' Night Out" event, according to a news release. Show time is 7 p.m. Burrell will hold a question-and-answer session, cooking demonstration and, following the main stage show, book signing.
Tickets cost $26 and go on sale Aug. 28 at the State Theatre box office, 453 Northampton St.
"Girls' Night Out" is a health and women's exposition, presented by Easton Hospital. This year's event coincides with the hospital's 125th anniversary. Physicians will be present on the night of the event, in the theater's Easton Hospital Gallery annex and Acopian Ballroom. Additionally, both rooms will be home to wellness information, culinary arts and more than 60 local vendors -- including vendors from the indoor Easton Public Market, which is set to open in the fall in Downtown Easton.
Burrell is the host of the former Food Network series Chef Wanted with Anne Burrell and is a frequent guest on the show The Best Thing I Ever Ate. She is the author of the books "Cook Like a Rock Star: 125 Recipes, Lessons and Culinary Secrets" and "Own Your Kitchen: Recipes to Inspire & Empower."
