ARTSQUEST AND MARTIN GUITAR | Mike Fitzgerald, of Media, Pennsylvania, has been selected as the winner of ArtsQuest and C.F. Martin & Co.'s inaugural Martin Guitar Contest, which was held in August during Musikfest in Bethlehem. Fitzgerald received a D-35 Martin acoustic guitar as part of his winnings, as well as as a trip to the Martin Guitar factory in Upper Nazareth Township. Martin Guitar Chariman & CEO Chris Martin presented Fitzgerald with the guitar, according to a news release.

EASTON FARMERS' MARKET | The final "Weyerbacher Wednesday" is to 5 p.m. to dusk Wednesday, Sept. 16. in Centre Square, Easton. Local food writer Carrie Havranek will be on hand to give a tutorial at 5:30 p.m. on how to preserve summer fruits and vegetables through the winter season. Wednesday will also mark the final Market Drum Circle, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Information: eastonfarmersmarket.com

STATE THEATRE | Auditions for the Moscow Ballet's winter performance at the State Theatre in Easton will be held 6 p.m. Oct. 12 at Pennsylvania Classical Ballet, 1716 Washington Ave., Northampton. Auditions, part of the Moscow Ballet's Dance With Us" program, are open to local student dancers, boys and girls, ages 7-16. The Moscow Ballet is scheduled to perform their "Great Russian Nutcracker" holiday show Dec. 12. Student dancers must have at least a year's worth of ballet training, dress in dance attire and are allowed to bring Pointe shoes, according to a news release. Information: statetheatre.org
