Tribute to Lemmy Kilmister, David Bowie planned in Easton

Black & Blue will pay tribute to the musical legacies of David Bowie and Motorhead frontman Lemmy Kilmister during a specially-themed edition of its weekly "Bring Your Own Vinyl" night.

Starting at 8 p.m. Thursday, host Nick Pokrivchak will spin Bowie and Motorhead records throughout the evening at the Easton restaurant. Attendees are encouraged to bring records to play, though only albums related to Bowie and Kilmister will be dropped on the turntable.

Bowie, one of rock music's most influential artists, died Jan. 10 after an 18-month battle with cancer. Kilmister, whose signature gruff voice and rumbling bass lines anchored such Motorhead classics as "Ace of Spades" and "Iron Fist," died Dec. 28.
