UPDATED: Singer Gary U.S. Bonds, best known for the hits "New Orleans" "Quarter to Three" and "This Little Girl" will receive the Lifetime Recognition Award. Jay Proctor, of Jay and The Techniques, and The Crests co-founder JT Carter received the award during the 2015 ceremony.
Veteran guitarist Craig Thatcher and music duo Brosky & Meyer are among those who will perform during the 2016 Lehigh Valley Music Awards in Bethlehem.
The lineup is rounded out by DJ Menace Collaboration, Erin Kelly, Fusion Jazz Trio, MindMaze, Whiskeyhickon Boys, the Tenor Trio, Larry Werner, The Lesson Center Student Showcase featuring students from The Lesson Center, Lehigh Valley Charter High School for the Arts and the School of Rock.
The ceremony is scheduled for 4 p.m. March 6 at Musikfest Cafe. Tickets, which cost $20, are available at steelstacks.org and by phone at 610-332-3378.
Organizers of the Lehigh Valley Music Awards 17 on Tuesday revealed the list of performers through the event's Facebook page.
The Lehigh Valley Music Awards is a partnership between the Greater Lehigh Valley Music Association and ArtsQuest. The latter has hosted the ceremony since 2011.
