The Riverside Festival of the Arts is searching for its next poster designer, with the winning image netting its creator $200.
The Best Poster Design contest is open to all artists "who have an inspired idea for a design that best captures the spirit, creativity and excitement" of the festival, according to a news release. Deadline is Jan. 31.

The 20th annual Riverside Festival of the Arts is set for Sept. 17-18 at Scott and Riverside parks along Larry Holmes Drive in Easton. More than 60 juried artists are expected to exhibit their works and will compete to win $1600 in cash, the release states.
Painting workshops and the seventh annual Plein Air Art contest will be held leading up the festival. Cost to enter the latter is $30.
