'New Mutants' co-creator, 'Supergirl' artist to appear at Lehigh Valley Comic Con

Lehigh Valley Comic Con is dialing up the star power for its December event in North Whitehall Township.

Marvel and DC Comics artists Bob McLeod and Jamal Igle are among the guests scheduled to appear during the Dec. 3 event at the Schnecksville Fire Hall, 4550 Old Packhorse Road.

Show hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

McLeod is best known as the co-creator and illustrator of Marvel's original "New Mutants" series. Additionally, the veteran inker and penciler has worked on such titles as "Amazing Spider-Man," "Spectacular Spider-Man," "Spider-Woman," "Action Comics," "Firestorm" and "Secret Society of Super-Villains," among others. He recently created variant covers for Marvel's "Death of X" No. 3 and "Captain America Steve Rogers" No. 6.

Igle is a 2011 Inkpot Award winner, storyboard artist and has served as series artist for such titles as "Supergirl," "Firestorm," "Nightwing," "Superman," "Zatanna" and "Black Dynamite." His credits also include "G.I. Joe," "Green Lantern" and "KISS."

Admission to Lehigh Valley Comic Con costs $5, $4 for those with college ID. Admission is free for children 12 and under. Guests who arrive in costume will receive $1 off admission.
