When Disney's reboot of the animated series DuckTales premieres in the summer, its cast will include Bushkill Township native Kate Micucci.
Micucci will voice cartoon lake bird Webby, according to Wired. The rest of the voice cast includes Danny Pudi (Community), Ben Schwartz (Parks and Recreation) and Bobby Moynihan (Saturday Night Live) as ducklings Huey, Dewey and Louie. Doctor Who and Jessica Jones star David Tenant will voice Scrooge McDuck. Launchpad McQuack will be voiced by Saturday Night Live cast member Beck Bennett.
DuckTales ran for four seasons in syndication. The reboot was first announced in early 2015.
The show's cast members recently recorded a video of themselves singing the show's original theme song. You can watch the performance in the video above.
Micucci's credits include the television series Garfunkel and Oates, Raising Hope, Scrubs and The Big Bang Theory. The 1998 Nazareth Area High School graduate will co-star in the NBC series Powerless, which is set to premiere Feb. 2.
Mecca also appeared in the 2010 romantic comedy When in Rome and voiced Velma in the cartoon series Be Cool, Scooby-Do! Earlier this year, Micucci co-starred in the independent film Don't Think Twice. In September, she appeared at the ArtsQuest Center at SteelStacks for a screening of Don't Think Twice.
