If there is anything comic book fans enjoy more, it's arguing over Superman's red trunks (or lack thereof) and other hot-button cultural issues over the Internet.

So who better to inject a little humor into the mix than local improv comedian, and comic book enthusiast, Dan Maher?

Maher, who performs in local improv troupes ManDudeBro and The Flighty Ducks, is the director of "Fwend Fight: Imrpov Comedy about Comic Books." The show is set for 11:45 p.m. May 7 at Frank Banko Alehouse Cinemas, which is located inside the ArtsQuest Center at SteelStacks in Bethlehem.

Tickets cost $4-$6.

The timing of the event coincides with the national Free Comic Book Day event, which will also take place May 7 at participating comic book shops across the country.

So, what is "Fwend Fight" all about? "Heartbreak ensues as your favorite super fwends slap each other over dumb sh*t," according to ArtsQuest's website.

In addition to improv and stand-up comedy, Maher is the host of the web series Transform my Transformers.
