Veteran comic book artist-writer Bob Budiansky and animator Richard Laslo will headline the 2016 Lehigh Valley Comic Con in North Whitehall Township.
The convention is 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 14 at the Schnecksville Fire Company Social Hall, 4550 Old Packhouse Road.
Admission costs $5, $4 with college ID; free admission for children ages 12 and under. Those who show up in costume will receive $1 off the price of admission.
Budiansky is best known for his work on the original "Transformers" and "Ghost Rider" series for Marvel Comics. He created the Marvel Comics character Sleepwalker.
Budiansky is credited for conceiving several of the "Transformers" character names, including Megatron, Ratchet and Ravage. He is a member of the Transformers Hall of Fame
Laslo's credits include animating Warner Bros. shorts featuring Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Marvin the Martian, Road Runner, Tweety and Tazmanian Devil. He has also drawn for Walt Disney Studios and Hanna-Barbera.
Additionally, Lehigh Valley Comic Con will also feature cosplay group "Star Wars Mandalorian Mercs," "Imperial Klingon Forces," "G.I. Joe - The Finest" and "Star Wars Rebel Legion."
The event coincides with the second annual Phillipsburg Comic Con, which is also scheduled for May 14.
