A camera crew on Friday will join Kris Fried to film the comedian's performance at Cedar Crest College in Allentown.
The 2003 Salisbury High School graduate said Tuesday during a phone interview that if all goes well, he will be able to pitch the finished product to streaming networks.
"The whole idea is that we wanted to film something in a professional space and have a film crew there. I'm aiming for a minimum of more than 100 people (in attendance)," he said. "The bigger it gets, the better."
The $10 admission at the door includes free drinks. Proceeds will benefit the Kisses for Kyle childhood cancer foundation. Show time is 8 p.m.
Comedians Dan Shelly and emcee Kenan Jerome Floyd are also on the bill.
"I remembered the stage there and figured it would be a good size for this," Fried said.
Fried teased the possibility of surprise celebrity guests appearing during the show.
Fried, who splits his time between his home in Allentown and New York City, has appeared on Conan and G4's Attack of the Show. He has also shown up on World Wrestling Entertainment programming and written sketches for Saturday Night Live. The former Los Angeles resident said he also wrote a spec script for the former TBS series Sullivan & Son, which starred comedian Steve Byrne and Dan Lauria, of The Wonder Years fame.
He recently performed in Easton as part of comedian Liz Russo's annual free outdoor comedy showcase at Riverside Park
"Everyone was in a really good mood, despite the incoming dark clouds. Right at 8 o'clock when Liz started, the rumbling started," Fried said with a chuckle. "Everyone just hung out for 20 minutes and we were making people do karaoke and screwing around. Finally when it cleared up a little, people sat down ... They all got to know us and then we did the show. It was helpful as far as getting them on our side."
Comedian Kris Fried performs 8 p.m. Friday at Cedar Crest College, 100 College Drive, Allentown. Tickets cost $8 in advance, $10 at the door.
