Liz Russo has watched her free outdoor comedy show blossom into annual summertime staple for the city of Easton.
The fifth installment is set for 8 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 13, at the Riverside Amphitheatre in Easton.
Russo, who will again serve as the evening's host and emcee, will be joined by fellow comedians Kris Fried, Dan Shelly and headliner Paul Bond. Bond's credits include "Opie and Anthony" and touring with Saturday Night Live star Jim Breuer.
"I absolutely love seeing the city of Easton come together and I love that it's a free show, so all of the public can take advantage of quality entertainment," Russo said during a recent phone interview.
More than 500 people attended the 2015 event, Russo said. The Easton resident is optimistic that that number will continue to rise over the next few years. Russo is even kicking around the idea of possibly expanding the showcase into a two-day event.
This weekend's show will include food vendors Porters' Pub, Vince's Cheesesteaks and the Bank Street Creamery.
"I think it's going to be something that grows. We have a really great scene for comedy and I think the more we can celebrate Easton and the Lehigh Valley, the better."
