Henley previously visited Bethlehem in August 2016, when he headlined Musikfest. In September 2014, Henley performed with the Eagles at the PPL Center in Allentown.

Henley's voice can be heard on such Eagles hits as "Hotel California," "Life in the Fast Lane," "Witchy Woman" and "Desperado." In 1980, the Eagles drummer launched a successful solo career with the album I Can't Stand Still. His solo hits "The Boys of Summer" and "The End of the Innocence" earned Henley Grammy Awards for Rock Male Vocalist in 1986 and 1990, respectively.

Henley released his fifth solo effort, Cass County, in September 2015.
