Lehigh Valley television audiences next month will get a sneak preview of the new NBC comedy series Great News during a screening at the SteelStacks complex in Bethlehem.
Show creator Tracey Wigfield will host the May 4 event, which will include a talkback discussion with the Emmy Award-winning writer.
Start time is 8 p.m. The screening will be held in the Frank Banko Alehouse Cinemas.
Tickets cost $5.
Great News stars Briga Heelan, John Michael Higgins, Andrea Martin and former Saturday Night Live cast member Horatio Sanz. Great News -- which is co-produced by writer-actress Tina Fey -- revolves around up-and-coming news producer Katie (Heelan) and her new intern: Katie's mother, Carol (Martin), according to a news release. The show is set to premiere April 25.
Wigfield got her start in the industry as a writer on 30 Rock. The Upright Citizens Brigade alum was introduced to ArtsQuest through Hellertown resident Tami Cantilina, who is married to Wigfield's cousin, Mike Cantilina, the release states. Tami Cantilina has performed at SteelStacks as a member of improvisational comedy troupe Dream Carnival.
