Acoustic Kitty Project will thank their fans and hometown with a free concert at Easton's Riverside Park.
The performance, which is being billed as a "fan appreciation event," is set for 7 p.m. Aug. 27. Americana-bluegrass band Blue Heart's Revelry will open the show.
"With the release of our second album, Saturday Night, we will continue to play our unique blend of (mostly) original country-rock around the greater Lehigh Valley. But it was Easton that took this wayward songwriter and set his heart on fire," said front-man Carter Lansing. "We will always call Easton home."
Acoustic Kitty Project is rounded out by lead guitarist Michael Carr, bassist Marty Chamberlain, drummer Bill Matlack Jr. and keyboardist Dan DeChellis. The band released their debut album, 'Shine, in 2013.
In addition to songs from 'Shine, the group will be performing music from their forthcoming effort, Saturday Night. The latter album was produced by Carr and was recorded at Carr's Holland Studios in Milford, New Jersey.
Acoustic Kitty Project has received several Lehigh Valley Music Award nominations over the years. Earlier this year, the band earned seven nods, including.Outstanding Folk Band/Soloist, Outstanding Country Band/Soloist and Outstanding Americana Band/Soloist.
