Classic rock bands Night Ranger and Loverboy, a cappella group Straight No Chaser and pop singer Jackie Evancho will help the historic State Theatre celebrate 91 years of bringing big city entertainment to downtown Easton.
The venue recently announced the full schedule for its 2017-18 season, which will kick off Sept. 8 with a performance by country music group The Oak Ridge Boys.
Additional highlights include touring versions of Cabaret, RENT, Sleeping Beauty, The Wizard of Oz and Dirty Dancing, as well as the returns of fan favorites The Fab Faux and comedian Bobby Collins.
The season includes previously announced performances by country hitmakers The Oak Ridge Boys, Grammy Award-winner Boz Scaggs, Food Network star Alton Brown and a question-and-answer session with comedian-actor John Cleese during a screening of Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
Tickets go on sale Aug. 2 to theater members and 10 a.m. Aug. 16 to the public. Members will be able to purchase their tickets starting 6 a.m. at the box office, 453 Northampton St; online and phone ticket orders will be available starting at noon that day.
