The inaugural "Stage on Stage" concert, held Saturday at the State Theatre in Easton, was a successful evening of firsts for the venue.
For the first time in the theater's 91-year history, both fans and bands shared the historic main stage, which was slightly revamped for a more club-style atmosphere.
Virginia-based headliners The Trongone Band and hometown favorites Acoustic Kitty Project, of Easton, delivered scorching, impressive performances that leaned heavily on their respective albums Keys to the House and Saturday Night. More importantly, their sets spoke to the lush, thriving local original music scene of the greater Lehigh Valley and served as reminders of the potency and power of live performance.
The next "Stage on Stage" concert is scheduled for April 7. Performers will be announced at a later date.
