Klaus Janson, best known for his work on DC Comics' groundbreaking DC Comics miniseries "Dark Knight Returns," has been added to the Phillipsburg Comic Con guest list.

The veteran inker-artist is slated to appear during the May 12 event at Phillipsburg High School. He will be joined by a slew of notable industry pros, including "Ms. Marvel" writer G. Willow Wilson, Huntress co-creator Joe Staton, artist Adam Kubert, and inker Scott Hanna.

The convention will run 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission costs $5; free admission for children ages 10 and under accompanied by a paid adult.

"Dark Knight Returns," released in 1986 and written and drawn by Frank Miller, rejuvenated the Batman franchise and influenced not only the comics, but Tim Burton's Batman films.

Janson's lengthy list of credits includes collaborating with Miller on the latter's seminal "Daredevil" run for Marvel Comics in the late 1970s, as well as "Superman," "Detective Comics," "Wolverine," "Amazing Spider-Man," "Black Panther," and "The Punisher," among others.

The Inkwell Award-winning artist returned to the "Dark Knight" universe in 2015, teaming again with Miller, writer Brian Azzarello, and a rotating list of artists on on DC Comics' "The Dark Knight III: The Master Race." The series ended in 2017.

The inaugural Phillipsburg Comic Con was held in 2015.
