The annual Easton Heritage Day celebration returns today to downtown Easton, starting at noon with the reading of the Declaration fo Independence and rolling right into the festivities, among which is a robust offering of live music.
The lineup is a diverse reflection of Easton, and the Lehigh Valley’s, rich music scene. From jazz and bluegrass to funk and straight up rock ‘n’ roll, there is a genre for every taste.
Before heading to the festival today, take a minute to get to know this year’s acts:
CHRIS CUMMINGS TRIO
The first stop on your Heritage Day musical odyssey should be the Star Spangled Stage, where veteran drummer Chris Cummings and his jazz trio will entertain you with 45 minutes of intricate, rhythmic, and cool jazz. Tap into the groove.

EAST TEXAS TRAMPS
The talented duo of harmonica player Jacob Henry and vocalist-guitarist Christian Beshore bring to the table a killer combination of hearty Texas blues, sizzling country rock and a dash of folksy Americana. Dig it.

ROI AND THE SECRET PEOPLE
If you are not out of your seat and drenched in sweat from rocking out to Roi and the Secret People, then, well, you’re doing it wrong. This quintet is the equivalent of rock ‘n’ roll TNT, just waiting to explode with unabashed energy. Ditch the umbrella and get caught in the musical storm that is Roi and the Secret People.

BLUE HEART’S REVELRY
Straight out of Easton, Blue Heart’s Revelry takes old-school Americana and turns it on its head with a contemporarily charming hybrid of bluegrass and folk. The band is currently promoting their LP

DANA GAYNOR BAND
Scorching, powerful blues delivered via a direct line from guitarist Dana Gaynor’s six-string right to your soul, with the accompaniment of her equally talented backing band.

SCHOOL OF ROCK
The Easton School of Rock students will be rocking and rolling all afternoon, and most of the night, at the Scott Park stage. This talented group of teens and tweens have some serious chops, which they’ll put on full display via their catalog of classic and modern rock tunes.
