Comedian Liz Russo’s annual comedy showcase is expanding to three nights for its return next month to downtown Easton.
LAFFEST Easton will take place Aug. 8-10.
The Aug. 8 and 9 portion of the event will be held at One Centre Square. Russ, a native of Easton, is slated to headline Aug. 8, and will be joined that night by comedians Glen Tickle, Ian Webster, Aliya Brown, Roya Hamadani, and Luke Stein. Comedian Ryan Niemiller, who earlier this week impressed judges on America’s Got Talent, and comedian Andre Kim will perform Aug. 9.
The series will wrap up Aug. 10 at the Riverside Park Amphitheater — where the showcase has been held since its inception in 2012 — with performances by comedians Moody McCarthy and Keith Purnell. McCarthy’s television credits include Conan, Jimmy Kimmel Live!, and the former The Late Show with David Letterman.
All three shows, which are free, will start at 8 p.m.
“The response has been more amazing year after year,” Russo says in a news release.
LAFFEST Easton is a partnership between Russo and the Mayor’s Office of Special Events, or M.O.O.S.E.
“We are very excited to bring top talent and an authentic comedy club experience to LAFFEST this year,” Russo says.
