Eddie Money, 'Dancing with the Stars' join Sands lineup

Singer Eddie Money, with classic rock band Starship, and "Dancing with the Stars Live!" were announced Monday as the latest additions to the Sands Bethlehem Event Center's winter lineup.

Money, whose hits include "Baby Hold On," "Two Tickets to Paradise" and his duet with Ronnie Spector, "Take Me Home Tonight," is scheduled for Dec. 4. The multi-instrumentalist and actor headlined neighboring Musikfest Cafe in September 2014. In July 2012, Money performed at the Quick Chek New Jersey Festival of Ballooning in Readington Township.

Starship -- which initially went by the name Jefferson Starship upon its formation in the early 1970s, before changing their name in 1985 -- includes lead vocalist Mickey Thomas. The group is best known for the hits "We Built This City," "Sara" and "Jane." Before joining Starship in 1979, Thomas famously recorded the vocals to the Elvin Bishop Band single "Fooled Around and Fell in Love."

Show time for Money and Starship is 7 p.m. Tickets cost $35-$55. Tickets go on sale 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 30, through sandseventcenter.com, ticketmaster.com, by calling 800-745-3000 and at the box office, 77 Sands Blvd.

The "Dancing with the Stars Live! Dance All Night Tour" is set for 7 p.m. Jan. 10. The show features professional dancers Lindsay Arnold, Sharna Burgess, Artem Chigvintsev, Valentin Chmerkovskiy, Keo Motsepe, Peta Murgatroyd, Emma Slater, Alan Bersten, Brittany Cherry and Jenna Johnson. Tickets for "Dancing with the Stars," which went on sale earlier today, cost $49.50-$79.50.

The latest incarnation of the show's live tour is touted in a news release as boasting its largest cast yet, with a 90-minute running time. More casting will be announced at a later date, according to the release.
