Carrie Underwood is headed back to the Lehigh Valley.
The six-time Grammy Award winner and country music superstar on March 19 will bring her Storyteller Tour to the PPL Center in Allentown, officials announced Tuesday in a news release. Tickets go on sale 10 a.m. Nov. 6 through pplcenter.com and at the box office, Seventh and Hamilton streets.
Underwood, the fourth season winner of American Idol, performed in September at the Great Allentown Fair. She is the second 2015 Great Allentown Fair headliner to be booked for a 2016 date at the PPL Center, joining Def Leppard with Styx and Tesla. The latter is scheduled for Feb. 17.
"The Storyteller Tour - Stories in the Round" is Underwood's first "in the round" tour, according to the release, in which the stage will be set up in the middle of the arena floor, giving attendees a 360-view of the performance.
Fans who purchase Underwood's latest album, Storyteller, through the singer's online store, carrieunderwood.fm, will receive a code for early access to tour tickets. One dollar from each concert ticket sold for U.S. concert dates will be donated to the C.A.T.S. (Checotah Animal, Town, and School) Foundation, according to the release.
Underwood has released five studio albums since her debut effort, Some Hearts, dropped in 2005. Her hits include "Before He Cheats," "All-American Girl," "Temporary Home," "Undo It," "Mama's Song" and "Cowboy Casanova," among others.
Supporting Underwood on the tour, including the Allentown stop, will be Easton Corbin and The Swon Brothers.
