The 2015 Freddy Awards are over, but Freddy Fever for the 2016 event is ramping up.
The State Theatre announced Tuesday the 29 participating schools for next year's ceremony. The 2016 Freddy Awards, which recognizes excellence in high school theater, are set for 7 p.m. May 26 at the Easton theater. The show will broadcast live on WFMZ-TV Channel 69 and online at wfmz.com.
The participating schools and productions are:

The list is preliminary and subject to change, according to the release. A finalized list of the 2016 participants, productions and ticket information is expected to be released in January.
Dieruff High School led the 2015 Freddy Awards with six awards, out of 15 nominations for their production of In the Heights.
