Rapper Lil Wayne coming to Bethlehem

Lil Wayne is bringing his Dedication Tour to Bethlehem.

The Grammy Award-winning rapper and hip-hop star will perform 7:30 p.m. Feb. 23 at the Sands Bethlehem Event Center in Bethlehem, officials announced Tuesday in a news release. Tickets cost $59.50 in advance, $65 at the door.

Lil Wayne's hits include "Fireman," "Shooter," "Lollipop," and "6 Foot 7 Foot." First week sales of his 2008 studio effort, Tha Carter III, reached more than a million copies, according to the release. Tha Carter III earned Lil Wayne the Grammy for Best Rap Album and included the singles "A Milli" and "Got Money."

In 2012, Lil Wayne surpassed Elvis Presley with the most entries on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, with a total of 109 songs, according to Billboard.

Tickets for Lil Wayne's Feb. 23 show go on sale 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 4, through ticketmaster.com, sandseventcenter.com, by calling 800-745-3000 and at the box office, 77 Sands Blvd.
