1.) Explosive ending
Musikfest draws to a close Sunday, Aug. 16, in Bethlehem, with grunge rockers Alice in Chains headlining the Sands Steel Stage at SteelStacks. Fireworks are scheduled for 9:45 p.m. Tickets for Alice in Chains cost $55 and $45; $169 for Steel Terrace seating.
2.) Alternate take
Allentown's Alternative Gallery, 707 N. Fourth St. (located inside the Cigar Factory), will host a quintuple bill 6 p.m. Friday, Aug. 14, featuring the bands Naked, Mother Moon, G.S.G.A. (Goodnight Stars, Goodnight Air), L.M.I. and Seer. The show will also showcase works by artist Dylan Garrett Smith. This is an all-ages show, but you must be 21 or older to drink. 3.) Dance machines
DJ ReaLion and King Asad team up for an evening of fresh beats and hot tunes, 10 p.m. Friday, Aug. 14, at Pearly Baker's Alehouse, 11 Centre Square, Easton. No cover.
4.) Straight Outta Boston
Classic rockers Boston -- best known for such hits as "More Than a Feeling," "Foreplay/Long Time," "Peace of Mind" and "Amanda" -- return to Bethlehem 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 14, to headline the Sands Bethlehem Event Center, 77 Sands Blvd., Bethlehem. The School of Rock's Summer Season Performance Group performs 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 14, at 501 American St., Catasauqua as part of the Catasauqua Summer Concert Series.

9.) Murphy's law
Governing Murphy rocks The Steel Pub, 320 E. First St., Bethlehem, 9 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 15. Throw up the horns and party the weekend away.
