The State Theatre is turning to local comedians to kick off Bobby Collins' April return to the historic Easton venue.
A stand-up comedy showcase, which is free for Collins ticket holders, will take place 6 to 7 p.m. April 1 in the Easton Hospital Gallery, prior to the start of Collin's main stage performance. Hosted by comedian Ryan Hill and presented by DustinSchoof.com, the pre-show will feature performances by local comedians Dan Maher, Jason J. Brown and Randy Tonge.
Maher is a member of Lehigh Valley-based improvisational troupes ManDudeBro and The Flighty Ducks. Brown performed in November at the theater during a pre-show ahead of "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" stars Colin Mochrie and Brad Sherwood's main stage performance.
Tickets for Collins' performance cost $30. Collins' May 2015 performance at the State Theatre was filmed for an upcoming DVD special.
The gallery can be accessed at Fifth and Northampton streets in Easton.
