Nikki Sixx is coming back to Bethlehem, but without the rest of (legally retired) Motley Crue.

The bassist's other band, Sixx:A.M., on May 8 will headline the Sands Bethlehem Event Center, officials announced Tuesday in a news release. Show time is 8 p.m.

Tickets cost $35 in advance, $40 at the door. Tickets go on sale 10 a.m. Friday, March 4 through ticketmaster.com, sandseventcenter.com, by calling 800-745-3000 and at the box office, 77 Sands Blvd.

Sixx:A.M. was formed in 2006 as a musical companion to Sixx's autobiography, "The Heroine Diaries." The group, which includes former Guns N' Roses guitarist DJ Ashba and vocalist James Michael, released their debut album, The Heroin Diaries Soundtrack, in 2007. The album featured the single "Life is Beautiful."

Sixx:A.M. has since released the albums This Is Gonna Hurt and Modern Vintage. The band also announced Tuesday they will drop their fourth studio effort, Prayers for the Damned Vol. 1, in April.

Motley Crue performed at the event center in May 2013. A little more than a year later, Motley Crue headlined the Great Allentown Fair.
