Alice Cooper's Hollywood Vampires -- which includes actor Johnny Depp and Aerosmith's Joe Perry on guitar -- will sink their teeth into Bethlehem this summer.
The supergroup will perform 8 p.m. July 1 at the Sands Bethlehem Event Center, officials announced Monday in a news release. Tickets cost $49.50-$109.50.
The touring configuration of the band is rounded out by Stone Temple Pilots bassist Robert DeLeo, former Guns N' Roses/Velvet Revolver drummer Matt Sorum, Alice Cooper guitarist Tommy Henriksen and The Kids pianist Bruce Witkin. The Bethlehem stop is part of the group's summer trek, which kicks off May 24 in New York.
Cooper headlined Sands in 2012. In 2014, Cooper opened for Motley Crue at the Great Allentown Fair.
The band was formed by Cooper, Depp and Perry in 2015 as a tribute to musicians friends of Cooper's who died of drug and alcohol excess in the 1970s. Hollywood Vampires was also the name of a drinking club, which included Cooper, Ringo Starr and late Who drummer Keith Moon.
Hollywood Vampires released their self-titled debut album, a collection of original tunes and classic rock covers, in September 2015 -- including takes on The Who, Led Zeppelin, T. Rex, Pink Floyd and Jimi Hendrix. Hollywood Vampires, the album, features guest appearances by Paul McCartney, Slash, Dave Grohl, Perry Farrell, Brian Johnson, Joe Walsh, Kip Winger and The Doors' Robbie Krieger, among others.
Depp recorded rhythm guitars on all but one track on the album, as well as backing vocals and keyboards on the song "Raise the Dead." In addition to the Hollywood Vampires, Depp collaborated with Perry on the latter's 2014 Christmas EP's Joe Perry's Merry Christmas. (Depp performed rhythm guitar on Perry's rendition of Chuck Berry's "Run Run Rudolph.") Prior to that, the Pirates of the Caribbean and Edward Scissorhands star recorded backing vocals on the Perry-penned Aerosmith song "Freedom Fighter," included on the band's 2012 studio album, Music from Another Dimension. Depp also wrote the forward to Perry's 2014 memoir, "Rocks: My Life In and Out of Aerosmith."
