Twenty One Pilots descending into Allentown in 2017

Twenty One Pilots will be touching down in Allentown. However, fans will have to wait until 2017 to see them.

The duo -- which consists of front-man/multi-instrumentalist Tyler Joseph and drummer Josh Dun -- will on Jan. 24 will bring their Emotional Roadshow Tour to the PPL Center, officials announced Monday in a news release. Show time is 7 p.m.

Tickets go on sale noon Friday, May 13, through pplcenter.com and by calling 610-347-TIXX. Tickets cost $49.50 and $39.50.

Twenty One Pilots -- who in 2012 opened for Neon Trees and Walk the Moon at Allentown's Crocodile Rock Cafe -- rose to mainstream prominence on the strength of their 2015 album Blurryface, which spawned the hit singles "Stressed Out" and "Ride." The former spent three consecutive months in the top spot of Billboard's Modern Rock chart.
