Folk-rock group The Avett Brothers will return Aug. 14 to Bethlehem to close out Musikfest, officials announced Friday in a news release.
Show time is 8 p.m.
Tickets cost $45-$65. Tickets go on sale 10 a.m. May 24 to ArtsQuest members and 10 a.m. May 27 to the public through musikfest.org and by calling 610-332-3378.
The band's performance will include an opening set by singer-songwriter Langhorne Slim. Slim, whose real name is Sean Scolnick, is a native of Langhorne, Bucks County.
The Avett Brothers previously headlined Musikfest in 2014. Their seventh studio album, The Carpenter, was chosen by Rolling Stone magazine as one of the top 50 albums of 2012 and peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 chart.
The Avett Brothers' ninth album, True Sadness, is set for a June 24 release and includes the single "Ain't No Man."
Musikfest is Aug. 5-14 in Bethlehem.
