Dieruff High School went into the Freddy Awards with a whopping 15 nominations. They left Thursday evening with a leading five statuettes.
The 14th annual ceremony -- which recognized excellence in high school musical theater -- was held at the State Theatre in Easton and aired live on WFMZ-TV Channel 69.
Here are the 2016 Freddy Awards recipients:

- Outstanding Performance by a Female Ensemble Member: Prescious Correa, Dieruff High School, "The Producers"
- Outstanding Use of Lighting: Moravian Academy, "Big Fish"
- Outstanding Small Ensemble Performance: Salisbury High School, "The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee" (Abigail Garrigan, Carolyn Boulay and Dane Galbraith)
- Outstanding Choreography: Dieruff High School, "The Producers"
- Outstanding Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role: Amber Ward, Bangor Area High School, "Ragtime (School Edition)"
- Outstanding Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role: Dane Galbraith, Salisbury High School, "The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee"
- Outstanding Performance by a Featured Dancer: Katie Taglienti and Teaghan Morgan, Hackettstown High School, "No, No Nanette"
- Outstanding Chorus: Freedom High School, "Guys and Dolls"
- Vic Kumma Award for Outstanding Vocal Performance: Madelyn Dundon, Bethlehem Catholic High School, "One Hundred Easy Ways to Lose a Man" ("Wonderful Town")
