Allentown Art Museum of the Lehigh Valley this weekend will celebrate the contributions of Latino artists with the new exhibition, "Our America: Latino Presence in American Art."
The exhibition -- which features 89 works by 71 artists, on loan from the Smithsonian American Art Museum -- opens Sunday and runs through Oct. 2 in Trexler Hall and the Scheller, Rodale and Fowler galleries. As part of the opening festivities, Hector Rosado y Orquesta Hache will perform outside of the museum on Fifth Street (which will be closed to traffic that day).
Additionally, Sunday's event will include a 1 p.m. panel discussion with "Our America" artists. Museum admission will be free on Sunday, from noon to 4 p.m.
