Before he joins The Band of Merrymakers later in the fall, Better Than Ezra front-man Kevin Griffin this fall will embark on a solo acoustic tour, which will stop at Musikfest Cafe in Bethlehem.
Griffin's Oct. 29 concert is among a handful of new shows announced Wednesday by ArtsQuest. The calendar additions include Tapestry: A Carol King Tribute, Jimmy & the Parrots, Celtic band Scythian, The Beatles' tribute Strawberry Fields, Lou Franco Project, The Large Flowerheads, The Sofa Kings and Igor & the Red Elvises' New Year's Eve bash.
Griffin -- whose voice can be heard on such Better Than Ezra hits as "Good," "Juicy," "Extra Ordinary" and "Desperately Wanting" -- previously visited Musikfest Cafe in 2011 as part of the Southern Gentlemen Tour with Collective Soul front-man Ed Roland. In August 2015, the Under the Sun Tour brought Better Than Ezra to neighboring Sands Bethlehem Event Center.
Griffin will be joined by Sugar Ray singer Mark McGrath, singer-songwriter Lisa Loeb and Neon Trees' Tyler Glenn for the The Band of Merrymakers holiday tour, which is scheduled to stop Nov. 25 at Sands.
