Easton will rock once again, with an expanded lineup and new location for the second annual fundraiser concert.
"Easton Rocks 2," presented by DustinSchoof.com, will take place June 24 at Third Street Alliance for Women & Children in Easton. Doors will open at 5 p.m. that evening.
Tickets cost $15. Proceeds from ticket sales will benefit Third Street Alliance. Attendees will be able to purchase tickets at the door.
Returning to headline "Easton Rocks 2" will be rock band Roi and the Secret People. Roi and the Secret People headlined the inaugural "Easton Rocks" concert, which was held in April 2016 at Easton's State Theatre. The group is gearing up for the release of their forthcoming EP Truck Stop Sushi, which is expected to drop in June.
The lineup is rounded out by Americana-rock group Acoustic Kitty Project, fusion jazz band Shawn Cav Ensemble, funk-rock-jazz outfit Mosey Beat, singer-songwriter Leah Marie Fuls, singer-songwriter Pentley Holmes and singer-songwriter Julia Gross. Acoustic Kitty Project frontman Carter Lansing performed during the 2016 "Easton Rocks" concert.
Acoustic Kitty Project and Shawn Cav Ensemble are working on follow-ups to their albums 'Shine and Glass Houses, respectively. The former is planned for a mid-summer release.
Two Rivers Brewing Company will also be on hand that night. One dollar from every beer sold during "Easton Rocks 2" will benefit Third Street Alliance.
Last year's "Eason Rocks" fundraiser raised more than $2,000 for the State Theatre's "Get Plastered" campaign to repair damaged plasterwork the venue suffered due to a leaky roof, which has seen been replaced.
