Singer-songwriter Leah Marie Fuls will represent Warren County in the fall when she travels to Nashville for the 2017 Josie Music Awards.
The singer-songwriter's single "You're Never Gone" has garnered the Phillipsburg resident a nomination for Song of the Year in the Modern Country Category. "You're Never Gone" is the title track to Fuls' debut EP of the same name, which was released earlier this year.
The Josie Music Awards will be held Sept. 17 at Nissan Stadium. The all-genre music ceremony was launched in 2015 to recognize and celebrate independent artists, according to the JMA website.
Fuls is among the acts set to perform June 24 during the "Easton Rocks 2" fundraiser concert Third Street Alliance for Women & Children in Easton. Shawn Cav, who recorded bass on You're Never Gone, and his jazz fusion ensemble are also on the bill for "Easton Rocks 2."
