Actor John Cusack is bringing a Hollywood classic to downtown Easton..
Cusack will appear Sept. 20 at the State Theatre for a screening of the 1989 romantic film Say Anything..., in which he portrayed underachiever Lloyd Dobler opposite Ione Skye's Diane Court. The screening will be followed by a live conversation and audience question-and-answer session, according to a news release from the theater.
Tickets, which cost $55-$75, go on sale 10 a.m. Thursday to theater members; 10 a.m. Friday to the public. A limited number of meet-and-greet VIP packages, which cost $150, will also be available.
Say Anything... has been ranked by Entertainment Weekly as one of the greatest modern movie romances. The film, written and directed by Cameron Crowe, launched Cusack's career as a lead actor and co-stars the late John Mahoney.
The film features the hit Peter Gabriel song "In Your Eyes."
Cusack's screen credits include the films High Fidelity, Grosse Point Blank, Being John Malkovich, and 1408, among others.
