ArtsQuest will pay tribute to late music icon David Bowie with a special screening of the 1986 fantasy film Labyrinth.
The event is scheduled for 9:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 16, in the Frank Banko Alehouse Cinemas at the ArtsQuest Center at SteelStacks in Bethlehem. A pre-movie dance party will feature Bethlehem-based DJ Tanner spinning Bowie hits. The dance party will be followed by a 10:15 p.m. showing of Labyrinth.
Tickets cost $10. A portion of the proceeds will be donated the Lehigh Valley Chapter of the American Cancer Society.
Bowie, who died Sunday after an 18-month battle with cancer at age 69, portrayed goblin king "Jareth" in the film. Labyrinth co-starred actress Jennifer Connelly and was directed by Jim Henson.
Bowie's other acting credits include the films The Prestige, Zoolander and Basquiat.
